Mike Dean Band rocks Bach Friday

Dean and company fuse honky tonk and rock with a little taste of country music and have been a mainstay on Acadiana stages for a decade.

Weather permitting, and it appears that it will, the Mike Dean Band will take the stage Friday in Parc Sans Souci for the penultimate Bach Lunch concert. Dean and his band fuse honky tonk and rock with a little taste of country music and have been a mainstay on Acadiana stages for a decade.

Bach Lunch is a free concert series held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Downtown park and serves as fundraiser for the Lafayette Science Museum. Funds are raised through the sale of box lunches, $6 apiece. Lunch is provided this week by Jefferson Street Pub, Deano’s Pizza and Roly Poly.

Bach Lunch closes out its spring 2016 series on April 22 with performance by Festival International de Louisiana featured group Les Poules a Colin from Quebec.
