Atchafalaya was founded on Halloween night 1978 at The Landing in Lafayette, Louisiana. They are a band that has lit up the music scene between Lafayette, Panama City, and all across the gulf coast. Their first studio album was on the NiJick Record label and for many years was a staple of the Louisiana festival circuit. An Atchafalaya show features all things that make the Acadiana culture what it is today, a little French, a little Country, a little Swamp Pop, with a touch of Rock and R&B.
Atchafalaya a été fondé la nuit d’Halloween 1978 au Landing à Lafayette, en Louisiane. C’est un groupe qui a illuminé la scène musicale de Lafayette, de la ville de Panama, et de toute la côte du Golfe du Mexique. Leur premier album studio était avec le label NiJick Record et, pendant de nombreuses années, c’était un des albums principaux du circuit des festivals de la Louisiane. Andy Palacio and The Garifuna Collective’s 2007 album, Wátina is one of the most praised world music albums ever released. With a lineup that consist of the best musicians from Belize in the fertile Garifuna music scene, The Garifuna Collective promises to carry the torch of cultural preservation and promotion passed on by Andy Palacio far into the future. On the cusp of tremendous fame, Andy passed away suddenly a year after Wátina was released, leaving the world to wonder just how big he could have become. His band has continued where Andy left off, and with Wátina producer Ivan Duran back at the helm, they have produced a soul-stirring collection of songs inspired by their unique Afro-Amerindian cultural heritage.

Boogat is a Latin American vocalist who constantly reinvents himself with his prolific discography and a unique artistic approach. He has opened for Nortec Collective, Quantic, Gilles Peterson, and Chromeo between others. Boogat’s non-stop work in the World Beat / Tropical Bass scene has given him worldwide recognition and permitted him to develop an international career, mainly in North America. Some of his songs have also made their way to Hollywood, including placements in blockbusters like the TV series ”Homeland” and the film ”The Forger” with John Travolta. Get ready to dance.
Boogat est un vocaliste latino-américain qui se réinvente constamment, avec sa discographie prolifique et son approche artistique unique. Il a joué en première partie de Nortec Collective, Quantic, Gilles Peterson, et Chromeo, entre autres. Boogat s’est fait reconnaître dans le monde entier de par son travail non-stop sur la scène world beat / tropical bass, ce qui lui a permis d’entreprendre une carrière internationale, principalement en Amérique du Nord.
