Will he or won’t he?

The Make America Great Ball says yes, Clay Higgins will run for Congress.

If the stars are aligning properly, Clay “The Cajun John Wayne” Higgins will announce a run for Congress Wednesday evening. The attention-seeking, tough-talking former spokesman for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office who shot to fame with his wildly popular CrimeStoppers segments on local television, has scheduled a press conference for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lafayette's Hilton Garden Inn near the Cajundome.

The Higg is expected to announce that he will seek either the Louisiana 3rd Congressional District seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany or the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by soon-to-retire Sen. David Vitter.

According to the website domain-name tracking service Whois, ClayHigginsForCongress.com has been registered by someone named Michael Mule from Charleston, S.C. This could be the work of some enterprising hack who wants to later sell the domain name to Higgins if he runs, but we think it’s a legit sign that Higgins does indeed plan to run.

Sources expect Higgins to run on a platform of shooting the crap out of stuff with superior firepower, God, the Bible and shooting the crap out of the stuff he didn’t get around to shooting the crap out of the first time. With superior firepower.
