The city’s best martini competition is underway after the big glass unveiling at Moss Motors with signature artist Rob “King Rob” Harris, who created a piece that pays homage to Cajun folk art.

The city’s best martini competition is underway after the big glass unveiling at Moss Motors with signature artist Rob “King Rob” Harris, who created a piece that pays homage to Cajun folk art. The glass is a takeaway for everyone who attends the Aug. 20 gala to benefit Healing House. Lafayette’s Absolut Best Martini contest, which began in June and ends Aug. 16, consists of a different area restaurant offering a signature martini on each Tuesday with the gala wrapping up the best of the best in Absolut Vodka creations. Winners will be named in categories that include people’s choice and judges’ choice.
