Gulf Coast Young Professionals Summit begins this Thursday

The 2nd Annual Gulf Coast Young Professionals Summit will be held this Thursday and Friday, Aug. 11 - 12, at the UL Lafayette Student Union with the goal of producing action-oriented thoughts leaders who are poised to lead locally, regionally and nationally.

The summit was created to educate, stretch and equip young professionals by providing an engaging, interactive and comprehensive learning culture. Veteran, aspiring leaders and young professionals spanning countless disciplines will convene to explore how to catapult themselves to the next level of greatness. Organizations, groups and individuals throughout the state and the southeast region who are serious about advancement and are willing to capitalize on this opportunity will attend a full day of networking, professional development and business growth opportunities.

Casey Gerald, Yale College and Harvard Business School graduate, founder and CEO of MBA’s Across America, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s summit.

Gerald is a voice of the millennial generation for business, entrepreneurship and finding your purpose. At the summit, Gerald will address “Harnessing Failure to Solve the Big Problems of our Time,” along with other recognized speakers from across Louisiana including CEO Student of the Year Kenny Nguyen, Waitr CEO Chris Meaux, and motivational speaker and author Nomica Guillory who are among the more than 14 speakers that will address the summit.
