Down in Louisiana, when they're cooking' up somethin' in the kitchen, they throw a little bit of everything in the gumbo pot. Applying that same homegrown creative philosophy to his music, singer/songwriter Todd O'Neill has concocted his own recipe, blending cajun, zydeco and New Orleans R&B with the best of Nashville, for some seriously soulful, heartfelt and rockin' country music. Best served hot, Todd's sound is pure Louisiana soul.

The GTO Party Band was organized in March 1999 by horn players Ray Blanchard, Ken Quebedeaux, and Darryl Ransonet (deceased). They were members of a blues band from New Iberia, LA and decided to start their own band. Darryl put up the money to purchase sound equipment and came up with the name GTO & D-Street Brass. Later on Darryl suggested we use the name GTO Party Band. Darryl Ransonet was the band leader and the lifeblood of the group for years. He will be remembered as “The Founder” of the GTO Party Band.

A name drawn from the historic Arkansas Territory Hanging Judge, "Issac C. Parker". This band is also from the same town of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Years of hard work, dedication and just "Hangin' in There", has made Judge Parker famous again, this time for music. Brothers Larry and Arthur Pearson formed the band with a southern rock, country and blues flair. Staying true to their roots gave them a kind of sound that classic rock and southern rock fans thought was long gone. Judge Parker has also shared the stage with Johnny Cash, June Carter, Big and Rich, Shooter Jennings, Chris Ledoux, Marshall Tucker, Confederate Railroad, Kentucky Headhunters, Molly Hatchet, Black Oak Arkansas, .38 Special, Foghat, Jackyl, Dr. Hook, David Alan Coe and many more.

HOMEGROWN HEROES (INDUSTRY WORKSHOP)
Sunday, Oct. 2
Blue Moon Saloon
Doors: 6 p.m.
Homegrown is an ongoing nationwide event created to feature, debut, and unify local acts. It helps build the scene, educate artists and promote networking opportunities in cities around the country. There are a lot of the “battle of the band” type events in the local scene that do nothing but pin bands against one another. We want to actually have the bands network and share bases as opposed to dividing them.
