UL Lafayette visual arts professor Steven Breaux is participating in two national exhibitions this spring, including "Sixty Square Inches" at Purdue University Galleries and "12X12" at the Todd Gallery at Middle Tennessee University.

Frank X. Neuner Jr. was recognized by the Louisiana State Bar Association's Professionalism and Quality of Life Committee for his service in assisting the bench and bar in reestablishing the rule of law in storm-affected areas and assisting lawyers affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Dupré Transport's operations at the Dow Chemical Plaquemine plant were recognized by Dow for flawless OSHA safety performance during 2005. Dupré's Tank Group won the Texas Motor Transport Association Truck Safety contest in the local 1-5 million class, and its Site Logistics Group was in the intercity 2.5-5 million class. Dupré is now eligible to compete for the Grand Trophy.

Smith Barney Financial Advisor Thomas Foard was named a "top advisor" in America in Research magazine's "Winner's Circle State-by-State" ranking.

Acadiana Open Channel recently received the first-ever Tipsy Kisinger Award from The Extra Mile for its work in bringing the community together.
