Louisiana Oil and Gas Association President Don Briggs, who sustained a serious head injury from a Sept. 30 fall in North Carolina, is slowly showing signs of improvement and has been moved to Lafayette for treatment, The Daily Advertiser reported Monday.

The Advertiser also reported that Don’s son, Gifford, who serves as the trade group’s vice president, has been named acting LOGA president.

Briggs was injured when he slipped in the stairway at a vacation home in North Carolina. He was being treated at an Asheville facility before his transfer to Lafayette.
