Park Lane relocates to River Ranch

Adding statement pieces and a younger look, Park Lane relocates from Parc Lafayette to Main Street in River Ranch.

Park Lane pulled into a new spot in the Lafayette retail scene in early November when owner Aileen Dauterive relocated from Parc Lafayette to Main Street in River Ranch.

The high-end women’s clothing shop has long been a destination for pieces with panache, from formal wear to casual chic options. And now the shop is refocusing, Dauterive says.

“It looks spectacularly different,” she says. “It’s younger and sexier and happier. I think we are going in a slightly different direction. We are becoming more of a destination place.”

Dauterive says it’s not that she is simply carrying special pieces from jeans and sexy tops to little dresses, but the new move has prompted her to carry an entire inventory she describes as “wow.”

“Everything is a statement piece,” she says.

The first Park Lane was located in Baton Rouge before Dauterive headed to Lafayette to expand the concept. The success of the Lafayette store led to the decision to shutter the Baton Rouge location within a year. While she’s had a solid following at the Parc Lafayette location, she decided to shake the concept up and start fresh next to Vertage on Main Street after her lease was up.

“When you come in it will be very difficult not to buy,” she says of the new location. “I’ve taken the time to buy the pieces that really speak to me.”
