Lafayette via Kaplan filmmaker Stephen Meaux is learning French and documented his recent journey to Quebec where he stayed with a Canadian family during a five-week French immersion course. Meaux’s documentary is in French, but non-speakers needn’t fret: He employs English subtitles. Meaux also meets his girlfriend, a fellow immersion student, during the course of the 17-minute documentary, titled “Équand je t’ai vue.”
