Eunice attorney and retired 27th Judicial District Court Judge Ellis Daigle.

Ricardo Johnson has joined C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates as survey and mapping coastal services director. A licensed surveyor, Johnson has 39 years of experience in the coastal regions of Louisiana, having served as senior project manager of government services and director of government services for John Chance Land Surveys from 1999 to 2016.

Justin C. Leger has joined American Title Company, an affiliate of the law firm of Becker & Hebert. The Church Point native received his juris doctor from Southern University Law Center and his undergraduate degree from UL Lafayette. Katherine Currie joined Becker & Hebert as an associate attorney. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi (B.A. 2012 magna cum laude) and the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D. 2015).

Dr. Brent Baker, assistant professor of marketing, Dr. Joshua Bendickson, assistant professor of management, and Lisa Kidder Bowles, visiting instructor of hospitality management, have joined the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Baker earned a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of South Florida. Bendickson received his BS from St. Cloud State University in 2003 and his MBA from Augsburg College in 2007. He earned his Ph.D. from LSU. Bendickson previously was an assistant professor of management at East Carolina University. Kidder Bowles, a native of St. Landry Parish, graduated from LSU in 1997 with a bachelor of mass communication, concentration in public relations. In 2002, she earned a master of tourism administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. From 2012 to 2015, she was the director of marketing for the St. Landry Parish Tourist Commission and served as the director of sales and marketing at the Wyndham Garden Lafayette.

Eunice attorney and retired 27th Judicial District Court Judge Ellis Daigle has joined Washington State Bank’s board of directors. Daigle, who began his law practice 30 years ago, served as a St. Landry Parish assistant district attorney from 1997-2005. He is a Continuing Legal Education lector.

Former KLFY-TV10 anchor Blue Rolfes has been named director of communications for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette, taking on responsibility for managing and directing communication on behalf of the bishop and the Diocese. She is supervising the communication staff, working in all media areas — social, digital, print, radio, video and television. She also has joined Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel’s senior staff, charged with updating and implementing communication and evangelization strategies that spread the Catholic Faith. She is the key spokeswoman and media contact for the Diocese. The Diocese of Lafayette, which turns 100 next year, serves eight civil parishes, 320,000 Catholics, 121 church parishes and 38 schools. It has 190 priests, 112 deacons, 47 seminarians and approximately 2,000 lay employees. The job is actually a return to the Diocese, where Rolfes first worked in 1978 as an employee in the communications department. A year later, in February 1979, she began working for KLFY, where she remained until March 1.
