LHC Group has signed former professional quarterback Archie Manning as its national spokesman and ambassador.
Manning, a two-time Pro Bowl player, also enjoyed an impressive college football career at the University of Mississippi, earning a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame. His 14-year professional career included stints with the New Orleans Saints, Houston Oilers and Minnesota Vikings. He was named Offensive Player of the Year for his conference in 1978.
LHC Group chairman and CEO Keith Myers said in a press release that Manning “shares our company’s core values and our focus on helping more people learn about and obtain quality health care.”
One of the sports world’s most respected personalities, Manning was selected in 2013 as an inaugural member of the College Football Playoff selection committee. He continues to work as a broadcaster, restaurateur and philanthropist and is the founder of the Manning Passing Academy.
“We also share a commitment to achieving success through hard work,” Myers added. “Archie has demonstrated this throughout his career — both as a professional athlete and beyond. Likewise, through the dedication and determination of so many throughout the history of our organization, LHC Group has grown from a single-agency provider to a nationally respected, NASDAQ-traded health care company.”
Manning will represent the company at personal appearances and in other marketing initiatives to promote the company’s home health, hospice, facility-based services, and community-based services.
