Cane Fire Film Series presents ’Frantz’

For May, the monthly Cane Fire Film Series presents director François Ozon’s elegiac foreign drama Frantz.

Frantz is a haunting tale of love and reconciliation begins in a small town in Germany in the immediate aftermath of World War I when a young woman named Anna mourns daily at the grave of her fiancé Frantz, who was killed in battle in France. One day a young Frenchman, Adrien, also lays flowers at the grave. His presence so soon after the German defeat ignites passions.

The Cane Fire Film Series screens Frantz on Monday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Downtown Lafayette. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information, visit AcadianaCenterfortheArts.org.
