NAME OF BUSINESS: Poor Boy’s Riverside Inn & Little River Inn
YEAR FOUNDED: 1932
PICTURED: Seated: Kathlyn and Larry Hurst; standing: Lori, Richard and Christian Hurst
WHAT WE DO: Cook and serve #GreatSeafood! Starting with a snowball stand by Hulo Landry, four generations have carried on the family tradition. Our seafood and steaks have remained consistently delicious for 85 years.
UNIQUE SELLING POINTS: We are family! Richard and Lori are a husband/wife team, and son Christian is a server and office manager. Mom still cooks and places orders, while dad is giving guidance and consulting. Our URL is #GreatSeafood, but maybe it should be #GreatTradition.
SETTING OURSELVES APART: We have been committed to the community since 1932. Our staff is loyal, and we serve only fresh, select local seafood, except for Maine lobster, which is shipped in weekly. We have two locations, but only one great taste!
