Standout Houston RB signs with Cajuns

The Ragin' Cajun football team has a new weapon in its arsenal, star Brazoswood High running back Yobes Walker. Walker is reporting to UL on Sunday for preseason camp. The standout is likely to hit the field this season, as the INDsider has learned that junior Deon Wallace, who sat out the spring season to focus on academics, is not expected to show up at camp Sunday.

Walker joins the Cajuns after wrapping up his four-year varsity career with the Buccaneers with a special senior season where he led the Houston area in rushing with 2,174 yards on 324 carries and 17 touchdowns for the Class 5A school. He ran for more than 200 yards in six games — totaling 5,647 yards and 56 touchdowns during his four seasons at Brazoswood.

Walker got offers from Alabama and Texas A&M before signing with UL.
