Former LSU All-American Lolo Jones ran a personal best time of 12.43 this morning to take the top spot in her semifinal heat of the 100 meter outdoor hurdles. Hers was the fastest women's high hurdles time since the 2004 Olympics, when Joanna Hayes of the U.S. won the gold medal in 12.37 seconds.
Jones is the reigning world indoor champion in the 60 hurdles and American champion in the outdoor 100 hurdles.
The finals are scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow.
