Local attorney Mark Stipe has been appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal to the state Gaming Control Board, which regulates the state’s gaming industry. Stipe is vice president of and general counsel for Omni Energy Services Corp., a board member for the Little League of Lafayette and a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette. He will serve as an at-large member and a nominee of the president of the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
