Berch Stelly, who began his career at Our Lady of Lourdes almost three decades ago as director of community relations, retired from the hospital Sept. 30. The spokesman and face of the hospital on local health-related TV programs, Stelly maintained his position through four administrations. "You rarely accomplish everything that you set out to do, but I am delighted in what I have achieved," Stelly said in an e-mail message to his fellow employees. "And so I depart with a happy heart.”

Stelly has been replaced by Elisabeth Arnold, who has more than 12 years of experience marketing regional and local health care facilities. She most recently was vice president of account services for Russo Group. In addition to serving as the hospital’s spokeswoman, Arnold has oversight of organizational communication and community affairs. She also is serving as marketing liaison with key hospital partners and ventures.

Arnold has a bachelor’s degree from UL and is on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana and the University of Louisiana Alumni Council.
