Lil' Buck does River Ranch. Credited as a sideman on over three hundred recordigns since the 1950’s, Lil’Buck Sinegal’s guitar playing has taken him around the world, playing shows in countries far from his home on St. Charles Street in Lafayette. Allen Toussaint called him the “Gentle Giant” of the guitar, but his cohorts call him “Lil’Buck.” He has cut tracks with everyone—Clifton Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco, Rockin’ Dopsie Sr. & Jr., Fernest Arceneaux, Katie Webster, Lazy Lester, Henry Gray, Paul Simon (Graceland), Jumpin’ Johnny, Wallace Johnson and many more. The laid back cut of his 6-string chops will have you crying in your beer like a disturbed psychiatric outpatient. Buck plays in the River Ranch Town Square for their Rhythms on the River Series tonight, October 16.
