Charlie Dugas

Lisa Strauss-Warner and Linda Gondron, Stuller’s board vp and prez, respectively

It was a night of diamonds and incredible local fashions (more like “diamonds and studs,” as the well-dressed men were show stoppers) when Stuller Place teamed up with Faith House to bring back the successful Runway on the Runway fund-raiser. The second annual event would not have been possible without the generosity of Dynamic Industries, which once again loaned its hangar at the Lafayette Regional Airport. Thanks to major sponsor Lee Michaels, all the models were dripping with diamonds and pearls and other jewels for the first set, followed by ensembles from Moseley & Hollard (men’s and women’s), gorgeous gowns from Head to Toe Boutique and fabulous footwear from Shoe-La-La. Delicious crab cakes and Mango Margaritas were provided compliments of Serranos along with other delectable creations from Catahoula’s and Nash’s restaurants and Russo’s Catering. And what would a runway event be without paparazzi, a non-event of course? LightWriter Photography was on hand to capture all the evening’s festivities, including that cutie Charlie Dugas in his Ross Graison black and red crushed velvet jacket, looking almost as good as Dr. David Barczyk, who “adjusted” to the runway with pizazz in his black chalk-striped Coppley suit with a red and black striped shirt by Ross Graison. But it was City-Parish President Joey Durel who stole the show, striking his Zoolander poses to perfection in his George Roth black tux. All of these men’s designer fashions were from Moseley & Hollard. Emcees for the night were Scott Brazda and Sarah Berthelot. She was stunning in a London Times one-shoulder purple satin dress — without question the hottest shade of the season — from Alicia’s in the Oil Center.
