Lafayette’s newest downtown sushi restaurant, Bonsai, will be hosting its Grand Opening this Saturday. The event actually kicks off this week, as the restaurant opens its doors for lunch Monday-Friday. To entice raw fish aficionados, owner Paul Le is offering half price sushi rolls at both lunch and dinner. Saturday, he’ll greet customers with the latest thing in raw fish — nude women. “We’ll have a sushi model on the bar,” he says. The model, who will be lying on Bonsai’s sleek white bar, won’t be wearing much more than raw fish, and customers can nibble their dinner right off of her ribcage. Fittingly, proceeds from Hope Shots from the bar and donations will go to local breast cancer organizations.
