THE NEW HADACOL?

I found it quite appropriate to see advertisements for Mona Vie in the same issue as the article about Hadacol ("Dudley LeBlanc and the Hadacol Boogie," Dec. 13). The two products have similar claims as cure-alls for a multitude of ailments, although the promotional techniques for Mona Vie are much more subdued than those used by Dudley J. LeBlanc. He provided great theater. I also recall seeing Hadacol promotional material that included illustrations too graphic for me to describe in a letter intended for a general-circulation newspaper. Suffice it to say that Hadacol was promoted as the Viagra of its day. Good ol' Dudley! He was one of a kind.
