Tipitina’s Music Office Co-op, which opened its doors last month, is holding its official grand opening today. A statewide initiative launched by the Tip’s Foundation, the co-op offers office space, specialized digital media software, training and other resources for musicians and digital artists who join for a low monthly membership fee. Today’s event runs from noon to 2 p.m. and features catered food and music from Cedric Watson and Blake Miller. The Co-op is located downtown at 510 Johnston Street around the corner from The Leather Pouch.
Tonight, the Blue Moon Saloon is hosting the first benefit for the co-op, beginning at 8 p.m. with music by Hungry Hungry, Cedric Watson, Andy Cornett, Marty Christian and Special Guest Carol Fran.
