Camellia extension increases to 45 mph

When you're driving down the four-lane strip of Camellia Boulevard from Kaliste Saloom Road to Verot School this week, your pedal can (legally) get a little closer to the metal, as the speed limit was raised this week from 35 miles per hour to 45. A traffic engineering study determined the optimal speed to be 45, The Advocate reported today.

Much to the chagrin of drivers, the speed limit remains 35 mph on the section of Camellia from Johnston Street to Kaliste Saloom Road. But the paper also reported there is a possibility it too will be raised. Read the rest of the story here.
