Bayou Blues Festival in Arnaudville May 23

Get ready for some shake and bake cooked over like a chicken fried steak of blues music. If listening to some of the greatest blues players in the world is your dream, it's time to head to the 3rd Annual Bayou Blues Revival Festival on May 23 at  NuNu's Town Market & Arts Centre in Arnaudville.

This year’s headliners include some of the greats of jazz and blues. Henry Gray & the Cats, Miss Carol Fran, and ‘Lil Buck Sinegal are just three of the artists performing on the Fredericks Stage. The music will begin at 6 p.m. courtesy of sponsors International Snubbing Services and Mike Huval Insurance; food and beverages will be available at NuNu’s Café. In addition, it'll be hosting music classes for adults in the early afternoon. Classes range from instruction in blues guitar to finger picking to harmonica to drumming and more. The instructors include Marty Christian, Michael Juan Nunuz, Frank Kincel, Lee Zeno, and Andy Cornett. There is a $5 workshop fee and the first hour will include instruction and the second hour a jam/demonstration.
