Party Girl ditched her 4-inch stilettos for a night and pulled on her finest pair of boots to head on over to the annual Colgate Country Showdown hosted by 97.3 The Dawg. Sponsored by Service Chevrolet at Cowboys Night Club on a hot Saturday night, the event was a full house as eight phenomenal contestants vied to be the first-place singer. As they sang their hearts out, Blaine Roy and Second Wind provided the live backup music. This year’s champion was 16-year-old Ramsey Leigh of New Iberia. Leigh is not new to the spotlight as she has been singing with Acadiana music great Hunter Hayes for the past few years. This year’s panel of expert judges included TV and movie actor/producer/musician Chris Mulkey. Chris currently stars in the TNT show, Saving Grace, with Holly Hunter. Also judging was Eddie Bodin of Juicy Pear Studios in Crowley, Tracy Wirtz of Good Morning Acadiana on KATC-TV3, Christian Country award-winning music legend Ken Holloway, and Chris Foreman, owner of Stage Call Productions and production manager for the Cajundome.

Nouriche, a wellness and aesthetics medical spa in River Ranch, recently held an open house to give the public a glimpse of its magnificent facilities. Fresh fruits, veggies, and cheeses lined tables throughout the office, and champagne corks continuously popped. Guests were encouraged to tour the entire office space, which includes state of the art technologies and beautifully decorated rooms to give clients the best and most pleasant experience possible. The entire staff was on hand to answer questions about everything from procedures to skin care regimens. Dr. Kelly Cobb was also there to educate guests on the newest innovations that health care centers could offer. Nouriche offers five different categories of treatments: medical spa, laser center, weight loss/wellness, body contouring and medical practice, and it has numerous options and procedures available for Party Girls of all ages!
