Jindal delivers $5 million for Chemin Metairie

by Leslie Turk

Gov. Bobby Jindal made a stop at Rouses Market in Youngsville yesterday to announce that $5 million of state money was approved to complete funding for the six miles of Chemin Metairie from the store to U.S. 90. Expected completion of the two-lane highway is 2011. The Advocate reported today:

“We have been the fastest-growing community, and it has put a tremendous strain on our water infrastructure and roads,” Youngsville Mayor Wilson Viator Jr. said.
