Louisiana comes in at a respectable 25th in Site Selection Magazine’s 2009 business climate ranking. Billing itself “The magazine of corporate real estate strategy and area economic development,” Site Selection surveyed corporate real estate executives as well as tallied industrial plant activity in ranking states. For the eighth time in nine years, North Carolina tops the list, cited in large part for the synergy between economic development and its university system. The Tar Heel State is followed by Texas, Virginia, Ohio and Tennessee in the top five.
