Steve Picou green presentation

by Dege Legg

Lifelong environmentalist and Bas Clas founder Steve Picou will give a one-hour presentation on Jan. 23 at the Southside Library on "How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint." A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact that groups, corporations, and individuals have on the environment and on climate change. Picou's presentation will detail how it all relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our daily lives through burning fossil fuels used in electricity, heating, and transportation. In addition, Picou will also address the economic implications and opportunities these threats create for humanity.
