Leo Honeycut book signing at Barnes & Noble Jan. 30

by Dege Legg

When former Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards wanted to set the record straighter than it had previously been set — in the somwhat slippery arenas of politics, incarceration, racketeering, gambling, womanizing, and alcohol-free living — he turned to author and former broadcast journalist Leo Honeycutt, selecting him as his offical biographer. After two years of intensive research and numerous interviews, the book was published in the fall of 2009.

Since the release of the book, Edwin Edwards: Governor of Louisiana has become the biggest selling book ever at the Lafayette Barnes & Noblee. On Jan. 30, Leo Honeycut will sign copies of the book at 1 p.m. at the Lafayette B & N. Honeycutt will also deliver a lecture and host a question and answer session regarding his work with the imprisoned former governor.
