Lafayette's Black Pot Music Festival makes an appearance on today's installment of the syndicated radio show American Routes. You can listen to the program, which airs at 1 p.m. by tuning in to KRVS at 88.7 FM or online at krvs.org. If neither of those options suit your needs, you can go directly to the American Routes website and listen to the program in streaming format, where it has been archived and broadcasting throughout the week in a run-up celebration of sorts for Mardi Gras. Both The Pine Leaf Boys and Bonsoir Catin are two of the Acadiana bands featured on today's program. Hosted by Nick Spitzer, American Routes is a weekly two-hour public radio program produced in New Orleans, presenting a broad range of American music - blues and jazz, gospel and soul, old-time country and rockabilly, Cajun and zydeco, Tejano and Latin, roots rock and pop, avant-garde and classical.
