Library screens Faubourg Treme tomorrow

As part of February events celebrating black history month, the Lafayette Public library will be screening the critically acclaimed documentary, Faubourg Treme: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans tomorrow at 2 p.m. As part of February events celebrating black history month, the Lafayette Public library will be screening the critically acclaimed documentary, Faubourg Treme: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans tomorrow at 2 p.m. Directed by Dawn Logsdon and narrated by Times Picayune columnist Lolis Eric Elie, the film traces the roots of jazz and the American civil rights movement to one of New Orleans' historic neighborhoods. Logsdon will be on hand at the event to introduce and discuss the film.
