Bossier Parish getting "Apocalypto"

Bossier City cops prepare for end-of-the-world type scenario.
According at an article in the Shreveport Times, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office is "launching a program called "Operation Exodus," a policing plan for an end-of-the-world scenario involving a mostly white group of ex-police volunteers and a .50-caliber machine gun, inspired in part from the Book of Exodus in the Bible."

It's obvious that with a shaky U.S. economy, profound disenchantment with both the major political parties, and deep suspicions over anything connected to Wall Street, there are a lot of nervous people out there. Fears of Malthusian scenarios - bubbling beneath the surface of our collective consciousness - where cities are faced with food shortages and subsequent rioting, are not as far out as one might think. At least not at the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department.
