Community dialogues continue over school system master plan

The Community Coalition for Lafayette Parish Public Schools continues its Community Dialogue sessions for the Facilities Master Plan recently prepared for the school system by CSRS Inc.

The Community Coalition for Lafayette Parish Public Schools continues its community dialogue sessions for the Facilities Master Plan recently prepared for the school system by CSRS, Inc. The coalition will be conducting five public meetings, one for every high school feeder zone, beginning tomorrow night. The meetings are designed to garner public input on the different options presented in the master plan. CSRS has presented four paths for addressing the school system's deteriorating facilities, ranging from an all-renovations approach to one that would replace seven schools, including Lafayette and Northside high schools. The results of all of the community dialogues will be presented to the public in April, about a month before CSRS is scheduled to deliver a final plan to the school board. Here's the schedule:

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 - 6 - 8 PM - Acadiana High School
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 - 6 - 8 PM - Comeaux High School
Thursday, March 11, 2010 - 6 - 8 PM - Carencro High School
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - 6 - 8 PM - Lafayette High School
Thursday, March 18, 2010 - 6 - 8 PM - Northside High School
