It's about time boiled crawfish came to downtown. Last week, Jefferson Street Pub started serving steaming trays of hot crawfish. Actually, it's teamwork that brought the boiling pots to downtown: caterer Crawdaddies is occupying a corner of the pub's kitchen, putting out steaming orders, while the pub side is supplying 35 beers on tap, including Bayou Teche Brewery's new offering, Highway 31, a pale ale. Local beer, local bugs, what's not to like? Pots start boiling Tuesdays at 5 p.m., call 232-5040 for more info.
