I enjoyed reading your article about The Meauxs ("Coastal Construction," Oct. 26). I have been friends with Sonny Meaux for over 14 years. As a matter of fact, our camp used to be on the same street as theirs.
If you are familiar with Holly Beach, you know that most of us are waving neighbors. We might not know each other's name, but we know the wave and the smiles. Most of the neighbors on Teal Street want to rebuild, so if the insurance companies treat us fairly, we will be back.
