On the heels of Executive Editor Denise Richter's departure, two more top editors at The Daily Advertiser are leaving the paper. On the heels of Executive Editor Denise Richter's departure, two more top editors at The Daily Advertiser are leaving the paper. Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals spokeswoman Olivia Watkins confirms that Advertiser Managing Editor Lisa Faust has accepted a position at DHH as its new director of communications. DHH has yet to verify Faust's starting date, but a source at The Advertiser says Faust's last day at the paper will be this Sunday, April 11. Advertiser Sports Editor Bob Heist is also said to be on his way to a new job. Heist will be leaving the local paper next Friday to take the sports editor's job at the Pensacola News Journal, another Gannett-owned publication. Heist has been with the paper for three years; Faust joined The Advertiser four years ago.

The latest editorial changes come months after Richter announced her departure. Richter, who had been with the daily since 2005, left the paper for a position with Acadian Ambulance in January. The Daily Advertiser announced earlier this week that Brian Tolley, who most recently headed up The Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer, will be stepping in as the paper's new executive editor April 19.
