The 2010 Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week incorporates two amazing weekend festival days, five additional nights of dancing to top bands on a hardwood floor under a top, a week of immersive, experiential cultural learning, amazing food and so much more!

And right now the folks at Louisiana Folk Roots, who conduct heritage week are looking for a few more helping hands.

If you'd like to lend your talents and skills to help sell music and merchandise, collect admissions, or make drinks for thirsty dancers, they've got some key volunteer shifts still open for the weekend festival days, evening dances and other activities from Friday-Friday, April 16-23.

Click here to check out programming schedules and here to see what volunteer positions and times are still available, then e-mail your choice to Jen Hamilton, 2010 Volunteer Coordinator, or call the 2010 volunteer hotline, 281-0791.

In addition to supporting the LFR mission and receiving the other intrinsic rewards of helping out, you'll receive free admission to that day or night's dance area activities and other special benefits.

Registration for all activities will remain open through camp. For more info, call at 234-8360 or e-mail us at [email protected].
