Last night I attended my first Medicine Show that honors the late Dr. Tommy Comeaux. Having been gone since 1979 kept me from attending the earlier shows, but if they were anything like last night, then they have all been very special nights!
Having known Tommy Comeaux for many years while he was in school, both here in Lafayette and then in New Orleans, I know he was smiling down on all of us last night. Tommy loved music, people and life, and last night was truly all that and more.
Seeing friends for the first time in more than 25 years and hearing great bands like Rimrock reminded me of how great our music scene still is. Like David Fox told me, I love listening to music, and what better place than the Medicine Show.
Hats off to Robbie Bush and all who made last night happen.
