IberiaBank Corp. has announced management changes in its headquarters office, promoting Executive Vice President Jerry Vascocu to president of the Lafayette market, while current Lafayette President Pete Yuan will take over as regional president of the bank's Arkansas operations. Yuan's new responsibilities will include management of IberiaBank's central, northeast and northwest Arkansas banking franchises, the Regional North banking team and the company's title business.

"With our continued growth comes the opportunity to promote talent," says Daryl Byrd, president and CEO of IberiaBank. "We are very excited about these moves, which are tremendous opportunities for both Pete and Jerry. The Vascocu family will be a wonderful addition to the Lafayette community. Jerry's leadership and commitment will continue to fuel the momentum we have achieved in this market."

Vascocu will have big shoes to fill. Yuan, who replaced Pat Trahan as Lafayette market president four years ago, quickly immersed himself in the local community and was often the face of the company in the place of Byrd, who prefers to remain behind the scenes. Yuan is the 2011 chairman-elect of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and is actively involved with several community organizations. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to manage our Arkansas franchise," he says. "Through our acquisitions there the past three years, we have an excellent footprint throughout the state and are well positioned for the opportunities in front of us. However, it is with mixed emotions for me and my family. Lafayette has been a truly wonderful place to call home, and my family thanks this community for their warmth and support. I am grateful for the many friendships we have made, and the privilege to work with an outstanding team at the bank. Jerry brings tremendous energy and talent to this market, and will do a fantastic job."

A native of Ruston, Vascocu served as president of the company's Little Rock, Ark., market for the past three years. Prior to that position, he was the company's manager of the commercial banking team in Baton Rouge. Before joining IberiaBank, he worked for AmSouth Bank, where he held the position of senior vice president of Commercial Middle Market Banking and also served as vice president of AmSouth Leasing Corporation in Birmingham, Ala.
