Brees, Saints win big at ESPY Awards

The New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees won top awards at last night's ESPY's, ESPN annual star-studded sports awards show. The New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees won top awards at last night's ESPY's, ESPN annual star-studded sports awards show. Brees picked up four trophies, including male athlete of the year, best championship performance and best NFL player. The Saints collectively shared the best team award.

Brees won the male athlete award over fellow nominees Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jimmie Johnson and Albert Pujols. The Saints bested the University of Alabama football team, the Chicago Blackhawks, UConn women's basketball, the L.A. Lakers and the New York Yankees for best team.
