This weekend, the Lafayette Hub City Farmers Market, located in the Oil Center, will feature an arts market as well. This weekend, the Lafayette Hub City Farmers Market, located in the Oil Center, will feature an arts market as well. Come check out work by local craftsmen, as well as shopping for homegrown veggies, eggs, fish and other food items. Hours are a civilized 8 a.m. till noon on Saturday, in the parking lot across from Champagne's on Heymann Blvd.

Local Organic Farmers and Vegetables will include:

Helping Hands Farm:  Squashes, cucumbers, peppers, and wildflower bouquets

Gotreaux Family Farms: Cantaloupes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, eggs, chickens, Tilapia (frozen and smoked)

Market Basket Youngsville
: Tomatoes, squashes, peppers, eggplants

Specialty Items:

Home Grown Jubilee: Dead Sea bath salts, fizzy bath bombs, lip balm and lots of great hand crafted soap

Thibo-Doughs:  Bagels (white, wheat and onion), cinnamon raisin bread (white & wheat), potato buttermilk loaf (made with Gotreaux Farms potatoes)

R & R Artisan Foods: Lots of kombucha, coconut water, lacto fermented pineapple with raspberries, lacto fermented peppers (Brockoli Patch) with squash (Gotreaux Farms), and granola bars
