Charley G's provided the festive locale for the seafood-themed art exhibit featuring the paintings of local artist Candace Greer, who greeted patrons in a stunning seafoam-blue gown, perfectly complimenting her colorful displays of delicate oysters and bold blue crabs. While admiring the artworks, guests sipped wine and nibbled on Charley G's yummy coconut shrimp with zydeco pepper jelly, smoked duck and tasso spring rolls and roasted garlic and brie. Attending the art gala were Barry Greer (Candace's Dad), Anna Goodson (daughter of Charley G's owner Charlie Goodson), Robert and Dr. Lisa David, and Cody Gielen and Nicole Denning (a dead ringer for Sex and the City's Charlotte).
The Office was the place to see and be seen last Thursday, as PASA held the launch party, "99 Reasons to Party," for its upcoming season. And party they did, as the crowd be-bopped along to pulsating music while viewing videos of upcoming acts, including the amazing dancer-illusionists Momix and magical metals in The Aluminum Show. This season will rank among PASA's best, with special guests chanteuse Judy Collins and hottie Chris Botti. Guests sipped champagne at the door and meandered to the back for tasty nibblies from Zea Mediterranean hummus, grilled chicken strips, yummy quesadillas and mini bread puddings and chocolate bites. Attending the festive gala were former Marionette Apiyo Obala, Marionette puppet master Bruce Coen, photographer Phillip Gould, chef/caterer Maureen Little and attorney Bradley Black.
