Oil and tar wash up in Gulf Shores

by Dege Legg

More oil washes up on the beach at Gulf Shores, Alabama.

With the major media singing loud choruses, parroting the phrase "the vast majority of oil is gone" and BP scaling back clean up crews, for some reason it isn't very surprising to hear that many residents along the Gulf and elsewhere do not believe it, and instead insist it is just another extension of the well-funded BP public relations campaign. The strange thing is that both the federal govenment and most of the major media news services are going along with the party line, insisting that, yes, the "vast majority of oil is gone." And it just so happens that some of the oil that is "gone" washed up along the beach in Gulf Shores, Ala., Wednesday afternoon.
