The state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on Wednesday gave state Superintendent Paul Pastorek a positive job-performance review. The board's president, Keith Guice of Monroe, cited "improving student and school performance, improving the high school graduation rate and other gains" as the basis of the evaluation following the 90-minute, closed-door session, according to The Advocate.
