Economist Scott delivers local forecast Oct. 12

On Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Cajundome Convention Center, Dr. Loren Scott will give his annual predictions for how Acadiana's economy is holding up and what's likely to happen here over the next two years. The Entree to Business Luncheon, which starts at 11:45 a.m., is sponsored by ABiz, a publication of The Independent Weekly, along with Dwight Andrus Insurance and MidSouth Bank.

While his full report covers the entire state, Scott's presentation will focus on activity in the core Acadiana parishes. Professor emeritus at LSU, Scott is widely considered the top resource in the state on economic matters.

Each luncheon attendee will receive a CD of Scott's full LEO report as well as his Acadiana-specific PowerPoint presentation, produced by Vidox Productions. The Acadiana Economic Development Council is a sustaining sponsor of this event.
