The Lafayette Art Association is hosting printmaker Edmond de Boisblanc's "What Makes a Print an Art Print?" presentation Monday, Nov. 1. The Lafayette Art Association is hosting printmaker Edmond de Boisblanc's "What Makes a Print an Art Print?" presentation Monday, Nov. 1.

de Boisblanc started his company, Crown Decal Printers, as a high school student in 1963 and advanced his skills as he studied under renowned printmaker Wes Chamberlain at San Francisco University and began printing for artists like George Rodrigue and Floyd Sonnier.

The local printmaker has been recognized in Screen Printing Magazine for a print made for artist Rick Rush.

The meeting will be open to the public and takes place at 1008 E. St. Mary Blvd. at 6:15 p.m.
