Following a black Friday where retail sales were up across the country, local online retailers are anticipating a big Cyber Monday' today, their annual kickoff to the holiday sales season. Gofballs.com President Tom Cox says his site's traffic has nearly tripled on past Cyber Mondays and its conversion rate, the percentage of buyers to visitors, nearly doubles. This year, Golfballs.com is promoting its new novelty golf balls launched earlier this year, where buyers can take home special print golfballs featuring unflattering images of President Obama and other political figures, Christmas logos, and even eyeballs.

Elsewhere, CajunGrocer.com is revving up sales of turduckens, as well as the newly populer quaducant, a duck-stuffed quail stuffed into pheasant. Other noteworthy local online retailers include food and gifts company Louisianaliving.com, and two new sites just launched by new local designer t-shirts company Parish Ink and Louisiana alligator accessories company Cocodri (co-owned by Ind staffer Mary Tutwiler).
