Southern University Ph.D. candidate and former congressional contender Ronnie Ray Ceasar wants to truncate Gov. Bobby Jindal's term in office. On Wednesday the Opelousas resident filed a recall petition against the governor, citing cuts to health care and higher education that Ceaser says are "going to destroy Grambling and Southern if he's not stopped."

"He's not doing the will of the people," Ceasar, no party affiliation, said in a phone interview with WWL radio in New Orleans, adding, "We're going to show him. We the people give you the ideas. You don't just run ramshod down people's throats."
