Quixotic redux: Co-chair of Jindal recall disavows effort

Bobby Jindal and who listed his wife as co-chair of the effort tells The Daily Advertiser she had no idea her husband had initiated the petition drive and, although a Democrat, harbors no ill will toward Jindal nor wishes to have him recalled before next October's election.

In a story published Friday, Joyce DeCarlo Ceasar, wife of Southern University graduate student Ronnie Ray Ceasar, says she "didn't give him permission to put my name on it. I don't want to have anything to do with a recall."

Ronnie Ray Ceasar filed papers with the secretary of state's office earlier this week to recall Jindal. He cites the governor's cuts to higher education and health care as the driving forces behind the effort.
